The Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (Tasmac) offers a buyback scheme where customers can get a refund of Rs 10.00 for every empty bottle they return. The scheme is intended to reduce pollution and littering.
As per the scheme, a refund of Rs 10 will be given to customers who return empty alcohol bottles to TASMAC.
Customers in Chennai & Across Tamil Nadu can get a refund of ₹10 for every empty bottle they return to Tamil Nadu State Marketing Liquor Corporation (Tasmac) outlets.
How it works
- Tasmac charges customers Rs 10 extra per bottle, in addition to the Maximum Retail Price (MRP)
- Customers can return the empty bottles to Tasmac outlets within a specified period
- Tasmac staff paste a hologram sticker on the bottle to identify the shop where it was purchased
- Tasmac pays customers the Rs 10 refund when they return the empty bottle
